Established in 1995 by Dr. and Mrs. Dorothy Ardill, the City Ministries of the Evangelical Missionary Society (EMS) of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA)—popularly known as Gidan Bege—was founded with the primary aim of giving hope to the hopeless. Over the years, it has expanded into several distinct ministry areas, including Urban Reach, King’s Kids, Outreach (Operation Northern Reach) Units. The ministry has a well-structured system of administration, and a Finance to enhance its operations. Additionally, the ministry partners with various organizations both domestic and international to provide support services for internally displaced persons (IDPs), deafs, community development, peace building through reconciliation, and numerous orphanages both within and outside the state.
